The Amity Affliction have raised eyebrows and hopes alike this week, with the #1 ARIA chart debut of their third studio album Chasing Ghosts (out on Roadrunner/Warner).

While their strong debut is a first for the band, it’s also the first time a local hardcore band has taken the #1 honors in the ARIA chart’s history, and brings to the fore once again, the rising popularity of the style with Australian audiences.
